The more I continue this whole blog thing, the more I quickly come to the realization that time is fleeting. I mean, I had always felt that time got by me way too fast, but mercy, now that I am documenting my own time...really thinking about what we do on a day to day basis...I swear I write my Five things on Friday post, -blink- and its time to write our weekend recap.
Friday:
+Reagan had her field trip with school. Sadly, I wasn't able to attend because I had to be off so much for appointments and such, I didn't need to take off. Of course I have the best boss, I am sure he would have let me. She had just as much fun without me there, I don't even think she missed me. I had my sweet friend who went along with her daughter and she was ever so kind to send me some snaps all throughout the day. The kids went to Bancorp South to tour the bank and then talk about finance & have breakfast, to Pop Pop Shoppe to talk about his business as an Entrepreneur, Sportsplex- where they learned about fitness, leadership & responsibility {and ate lunch here? I think.} and last but not least, on the last stop they volunteered at Harvest Regional Food Bank where they helped provide boxes for over 100 families in need! {3rd grade rocks! High five to those teachers and anyone else who put the field trip together, what an awesome hands-on learning experience for those children that they will remember for the rest of their lives!}
+Our Friday evenings usually consist of staying home and having family time..this weekend was no exception. Kullen had a friend over and Reagan rode her bike and helped me prepare dinner. Dinner was grilled, chicken, oven roasted potatoes and lemon pepper brussel sprouts. It was scrumptious! Reagan and I were out pretty late, helping to decorate for my cousin's baby shower.
Saturday:
+I had photo sessions from sun up, to sun down!
+Somewhere in between clients, I flew to my cousins baby shower on two wheels pretty much. I had planned on getting dressed up and actually putting makeup on- ha! that never happened. I rocked my hoodie & no-makeup self all day.
+Saturday evening I was worthless. Carrying that elephant sized camera all day kills my back, ya'll. Kullen stayed the night with a friend {crazy life of a teenager! Always on the go} Adam, Reagan & I layed low and watched movies.
+Sunday: we were up and at it! Off to Sunday lunch with Adam's parental units. It is always a joy to go over there to visit. It feels like time may actually stop while we are there. {I think it is because we all actually put our phones down and talk about our week/life instead of being glued to electronics. ~guilty here~~}
+Sunday evening we were supposed to go to a Superbowl party at my Sister-in-law's house, but Reagan was feeling under the weather, so it was back home for snuggles, laundry and getting ready for another busy week.
Have a happy week, mermaids!
