Weekend Shenanigans

Monday, January 16, 2017

Can I get a yay for long weekends and not having to go to work on a Monday? It is a dreary rainy day, so I am still in my p.j.'s,  and my hair is on the top of my head still and totally not brushed. It was about noon before I mustered up enough energy to brush my teeth. Ive had a entire pot of coffee and I am now ready to begin organizing, meal planning and getting things ready for the next week.

Here is what the weekend held for us.

-Friday:

-Friday morning went pretty smoothly, mainly because Adam is off on Friday's so on Friday morning he helps corral Kullen & Reagan which means I get to at least have 5 seconds to myself while I drink coffee and get some makeup thrown on. To get ready without having to worry about another human being is, well, delightful. {I wouldn't trade it for anything, but it is nice to have a break from our normal day-to-day routine every now and again.}

-Got the kids off to school and on to work I went. Work was a joy. We had a court docket so that always makes any day interesting. Gotta love the legal field! :)

-Friday evening was pretty low key. Reagan and I talked about our week and had lots of laughs and giggles while we painted our nails. The boys were working on a pretty hefty concrete countertops job.

-Saturday:

-Saturday Reagan & I got up, got ready and went to eat lunch at McAllister's Deli with my friend Crystal and her daughter, Brooklyn. Then we headed over to Target. {Because what girls day can not include a Target run?} We ran a few errands before heading to shoot my little second cousins first birthday session. She just recently starting walking and boy she can boogie fast! We had so many laughs watching her do her thing. So stinking cute. {Here is a sneak peek of the session!}

-Saturday evening, I was completely pooped. I spent the entire night trying to get Photoshop & Lightroom to download to my new Mac. I may or may not have had a glass of wine to go along with my bubble bath.

-Sunday:

-Sunday I woke up not feeling to great. Is it just me or have allergies been like a crazy thing this year? no? Finally, around noon. I began to feel better. I got my little office space set up and organized. Later, Adam & I went on an impromptu date to Texas Roadhouse. Steak & Steamed Broccoli are my jam!

And... just for Grins & Giggles {and because I had a reader request this} here are my 10 most recent played tunes on my phone for the weekend:

1) Galway Girl - The Elders
2) Velvet - Stoney Larue
3) Rich Girl - Hall & Oats
4) She's like the wind - Patrick Swayze
5) Burning Bright - Shinedown
6) Take it to the limit - Eagles
7) He loves us - David Crowder Band
8) Dreams - Fleetwood Mac
9) Shine - Collective Soul
10) Amarillo by morning - George Strait

What songs are on your playlist these days?

I meant to mention, my life it totally not very interesting, but if you would like to follow me you may do so on Instagram @MandiRagland or you can like my photography Facebook page here. You can also find my work on my website here.

I hope you have a wonderful week, we will be headed to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas for Kullen's yearly check up tomorrow. I will try to enlighten you guys on his condition and brief you on how the appointment goes as soon as I can. In the meantime, if you wouldn't mind, please send some prayers and good vibes our way for safe travels and a good report.

Later, Mermaids!
